The rigid case and what makes it feel right

Our luxury boxes in rigid construction cover the larger formats — watch boxes, presentation cases — built the same way.

  • 1.5–2 mm grayboard, so the box is heavy in the hand for its size.
  • A hinged lid with a magnetic close, or a lift-off lid with a slow, air-cushioned fit.
  • A wrap in a single color — soft-touch, linen, leather-grain — with a foil or deboss mark.
  • A flocked or velvet interior in a color that flatters the metal: black or navy for gold, gray or ivory for silver.

Sizes, and keeping them consistent across a range

Ring boxes run about 50 × 50 × 40 mm; necklace boxes 90 × 90 mm or 70 × 150 mm; bracelet boxes 90 × 90 mm; set boxes from 150 mm square. A range is planned as a family — the same wrap, foil and liner across every size — so a customer buying a second piece receives a box that matches the first. We hold the dies and the wrap stock for that.

Sterling silver tarnishes against some boards and glues. A tarnish-inhibiting liner is specified for silver ranges as standard.

Close detail of the print finish on jewelry boxes

The outer: a sleeve, a pouch, a bag

The rigid case is usually sold inside something: a printed sleeve that carries the name and slides off, a fabric pouch, or a small gift bag with a ribbon. The sleeve is the one that lets a plain box serve many designs; the pouch is what a customer keeps with the box. Both are quoted with the case.

Runs and reorders

Jewellers order 100 to 500 of a size and reorder as they sell. The insert dies, foil block and wrap are kept, and a new size in the same finish is added to the family without disturbing the rest.

Frequently asked questions

Got a question about jewelry boxes? The answers below cover what we get asked most. If yours is not here, send it with a brief, message us on WhatsApp, or call +1 503-461-4788 — we reply the same working day.

Can the insert be made for my piece?

Yes. Send the piece or its dimensions and we cut a slotted pad, a card or a channel that holds it exactly.

Magnetic or lift-off lid?

Magnetic for a hinged box that is opened often; lift-off for the slow, cushioned reveal of a presentation box.

What interior color should I choose?

Black or navy for gold; gray or ivory for silver. The liner should flatter the metal, not compete with it.

Is the box safe for sterling silver?

With a tarnish-inhibiting liner, yes, and we specify it as standard for silver ranges.

Can I have a foil logo?

Yes, on the lid. The die is kept across every size in the range.

What is the minimum order?

100 boxes.

Do rigid jewelry boxes ship flat?

No, they arrive assembled with the insert fitted.

Can one box serve many designs?

Yes, with a printed sleeve that carries the design name over a plain box.

Do you make matching sizes for a range?

Yes, planned as a family with the same wrap, foil and liner, so every box matches.

Can the box include a pouch?

Yes, a fabric pouch or a gift bag, quoted with the case.

How durable is the box?

Built on 1.5–2 mm grayboard with a proper hinge, it lasts as long as the jewelry — it is designed to be kept on a dresser.

Do you ship outside the US?

Yes, to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, quoted in the delivery currency.
