Box sizes for a flat product

An anklet is flat, so the box is: 80–100 mm square or 70 × 110 mm, and 15–20 mm deep at most. A deeper box makes a fine chain look like an afterthought. Rigid boxes are built on 1.2–1.5 mm grayboard; cartons on 18pt; a card in a sleeve is the slimmest and goes through a letterbox.

Sleeves, bands and the label

Our earring boxes in the same small formats are the matching case for a set.

  • A printed sleeve over a plain rigid box — one box, many designs, the sleeve carries the name.
  • A belly band with the brand and the metal — sterling, gold-filled, plated.
  • A small card inside with the length, the clasp type and the care note.

Finish on a small flat lid

The lid is the whole box. A single-color wrap — a soft-touch, a linen, a kraft — with a foil or blind-debossed mark, and a colored liner inside. Full color is used for a younger brand with a pattern; the box is small enough that a pattern reads as a texture. Foil and deboss dies are kept across the range.

Sterling silver tarnishes in some board and adhesives. Ask for a tarnish-safe liner or an anti-tarnish strip if the anklet is silver and stocked for months.

Online jewellers and the postal box

Most anklets are posted. A rigid box in a padded mailer or a card-and-sleeve in a letterbox envelope are the two routes, and a jeweller usually runs both — the box for gifts and the card for everyday orders — from one print system.

Frequently asked questions

Got a question about anklet boxes? The answers below cover what we get asked most. If yours is not here, send it with a brief, message us on WhatsApp, or call +1 503-461-4788 — we reply the same working day.

How do you stop the chain tangling?

It is coiled on a slit card, laid in a channel, or clasped around a card, so it cannot move in the box.

What size box is right?

Around 80–100 mm square and 15–20 mm deep. Any deeper and a fine chain looks lost.

Can I use one box for many designs?

Yes, a plain rigid box with a printed sleeve per design, or a printed card inside.

Is silver safe in the box?

With a tarnish-safe liner or an anti-tarnish strip, yes. Standard board and adhesives can tarnish silver stocked for months.

What is the cheapest format?

A card in a printed sleeve, which also goes through a letterbox.

What is the minimum order?

100 boxes.

Can the lid be magnetic?

Yes, on a hinged box from about 60 mm wide.

Can the box show the anklet length?

Yes, by clasping it around a card the way it is worn.

Do rigid boxes ship flat?

No, they arrive assembled. Cartons and sleeves ship flat.

Can I have foil?

Yes, and on a small lid it is the finish that does most. The die is kept.

Do earring and anklet boxes match?

Yes, the same wrap, foil and liner across both sizes, from one print system.

Do you ship outside the US?

Yes, to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, quoted in the delivery currency.
