Custom CBD Packaging
CBD packaging carries more information per square centimeter than almost anything else we make, and the requirements differ sharply between the markets we ship to. The pack is a compliance document that also has to sell a product.

Establish the requirement first, per market
What must appear, what may not be claimed, whether child-resistant packaging is required and what the product may legally be called all vary by market and change over time. A pack built for one market frequently cannot be sold in another.
Tell us the requirement as your regulator or compliance adviser states it. We reserve the space, build to the closure specification and lay out what you supply; establishing what applies to your product is not something we can do for you.
Where markets differ materially, separate artwork versions cost less than one pack compromised to satisfy all of them and convincing in none.

What generally has to fit
On a 30 ml dropper carton that fills two faces. Lay it out at a legible size before the front is designed — shrinking it afterwards is the commonest cause of a reprint here.
- Cannabinoid content per unit and per container, stated the way your market requires.
- Batch number and expiry, on an area a coder can print on cleanly.
- A QR or batch code linking to a certificate of analysis, which buyers do check.
- Ingredients, net volume, and a responsible-person address for UK and EU sale.
- Any mandatory warnings, at whatever size is specified.

The dropper bottle sets the size
As with any dropper product, measure the assembled bottle with its pipette fitted. A carton sized to the glass alone will not close over the finished unit.
| 10 ml bottle | Small carton; the dropper cap is the tallest point |
|---|---|
| 30 ml bottle | The volume size; cap and pipette both add height |
| Isolate or powder | Jar or pouch; a barrier inner matters more than the carton |
| Topicals | Cosmetic-style carton; INCI panel as well as cannabinoid content |

Light, oil and the board around it
CBD oil degrades in light, which is why the bottles are amber or violet glass. The carton adds a second barrier, which is a genuine functional argument for a closed box over a window.
Carrier oils also migrate into uncoated board if a bottle weeps, leaving a stain that reaches the printed face. A coated inner face is worth specifying for the same reason it is on essential oil cartons.
Child-resistant where it is required
Some markets require child-resistant packaging for ingestible CBD and some do not. Where it applies, it is usually solved by a CR closure on the bottle rather than by the carton, with the carton providing tamper evidence instead.
Those are two separate requirements met by two different features, and they are routinely specified as though they were one — the distinction is set out in our child-resistant packaging notes.

Frequently asked questions
Got a question about cbd packaging? The answers below cover what we get asked most. If yours is not here, send it with a brief, message us on WhatsApp, or call +1 503-461-4788 — we reply the same working day.
Will you tell me what my label needs?
No. That comes from your regulator and compliance adviser, and it differs by market. We reserve the space and lay out what you supply.
Can one pack cover the UK and the US?
Often not. Where requirements differ materially, separate artwork versions cost less than one compromised pack.
Do I need child-resistant packaging?
It depends on your market and product. Where it applies it is usually a CR closure on the bottle, with the carton giving tamper evidence.
Should the carton have a window?
Generally no. Light degrades the oil, and the closed carton is a second barrier after the amber glass.
What is the minimum order?
100 cartons, with the compliance panel reserved.
Where should the QR to the certificate of analysis go?
Somewhere findable — buyers in this category actually check it. Not on a base flap.
