Say what it is made of, early and plainly
Fabric composition, whether anything has been treated, and how it should be washed before first use are the questions that get asked in front of the shelf. Burying them on the base panel loses sales to the pack next to yours that put them on the front.
This is one of the few categories where information is a selling point rather than a legal obligation to be hidden. Give it room.
Print the wash-before-use instruction where a gift recipient will find it, not only on a label they will throw away with the box.
Most of it is a present
The split matters because a gift pack and a consumable pack want opposite things. One is opened once, admired, and often kept; the other is carried, stacked and reordered.

Windows sell textiles here more than anywhere
- Softness is the whole proposition on a blanket, and it cannot be photographed.
- A window lets the buyer see the weave and, with a cut-out, touch it.
- A touch hole is a small die-cut opening that costs nothing and converts well.
- It also exposes the product to handling, so specify it only where stock turns quickly.
Materials that touch a baby product
Inks and coatings are not intended for contact with anything that goes in a mouth. A bottle, a teat or a bib should sit against unprinted board, a food-grade liner or its own bag rather than directly against a printed face.
It is the same discipline we apply to food contact elsewhere on the site, and it matters more here because the end user puts things in their mouth deliberately.
Safety marking, briefly
Age suitability, small-parts warnings where they apply and conformity marks for each market all have to appear legibly. On a small carton that is a side panel, reserved before the front is designed.
