The window that does the selling

A doll box window covers most of the front and often wraps onto the top or a side, so the doll is seen from several angles. The window is cut with rounded corners and a margin of 12–15 mm to the folds, leaving enough board to keep the front rigid. Clear PET film is standard; a paper-based window film is available where a recyclable pack is wanted, though it is less clear.

Holding a doll upright

The backer is the usual answer, and the ties are what stop the doll slumping. A plastic-free build uses paper ties and a board collar.

Board, and the box that stands on a shelf

  • 20–24pt boxboard for the carton, or E flute with a white liner for a large doll.
  • A flat base wide enough to stand; a hang tab for small dolls sold on a peg.
  • A crash-lock base so the box can be loaded from the top on a line.
  • A tuck or a glued top with a tamper seal, so the doll is not removed in store.

Full color on a coated white board, matte or gloss laminated, with the character and the brand on the front around the window and play scenes on the sides. Inks and board are specified toy-safe, and the back carries the age grading, warnings and barcode on a matte patch. Our toy boxes for every kind of play cover the related formats for figures, plush and playsets.

Say which markets the doll sells in. Warning and labeling panels differ between the US, UK, EU, Canada and Australia, and the dieline reserves the space.

Shipping the display box

A window box is packed in a shipper of 4, 6 or 12 with a divider, so the windows do not press against each other and the corners stay crisp. The shipper is quoted with the boxes, and its count is chosen from the retailer's case pack.

Frequently asked questions

Got a question about baby dolls boxes? The answers below cover what we get asked most. If yours is not here, send it with a brief, message us on WhatsApp, or call +1 503-461-4788 — we reply the same working day.

How big can the window be?

Most of the front, and wrapping onto the top or a side. We keep 12–15 mm of board to the folds so the front stays rigid.

How do you stop the doll slumping in the box?

With a die-cut backer and ties at the waist and wrists, or a board platform with a collar. The ties are what hold it upright.

Can the box be plastic-free?

Yes, with a paper-based window film, paper ties and a board insert instead of a formed tray.

Are the inks and board safe for toys?

Yes, we specify toy-safe grades for both.

Can it hold accessories too?

Yes, in small windows or cavities beside the doll for a bottle, clothes or a blanket.

What is the minimum order?

100 boxes.

Can the box hang on a peg?

Small doll boxes can, with a hang tab. Larger ones stand on a flat base.

Do you reserve space for warnings?

Yes. Tell us the markets and the dieline reserves the labeling panel for each.

Does it ship flat?

The carton does, with the window film applied. Inserts ship flat and are fitted when the doll is packed.

Do you supply the shipping carton?

Yes, a divided shipper to the case count your retailer wants, quoted with the boxes.

Can the top be tamper-sealed?

Yes, with a glued top or a seal, so the doll is not removed in store.

Do you ship outside the US?

Yes, to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, quoted in the delivery currency.
