Fold first, then the box

A 150 × 250 cm cloth folds to a block of about 300 × 200 × 40 mm; a set with napkins is deeper. We ask for one cloth folded the way it will be packed, size the box to it plus 5 mm, and write the fold into the packing spec so every box is the same. A box built to a guessed fold is either strained or half empty.

Keeping linen clean and flat

Our bed sheet boxes for folded bedding use the same fold-and-tissue method.

  • A plain, unprinted interior so nothing marks the fabric.
  • Tissue wrap inside the box, folded with the cloth.
  • A sealed window film so dust cannot reach a white cloth on a shelf.
  • A board platform under the fold, so the block stays square when the box is lifted.

What the box has to say

Cloth size, in the units and naming of the market, is the first thing read — a shopper has a table to fit. Then the fabric and the set contents, then the care symbols and the fiber content on the back where required. A swatch window or an open band lets the fabric be felt.

Table sizes and cloth naming differ between markets. The dieline carries the size panel in the local convention.

Board and the weight of a set

A cloth with eight napkins weighs over a kilogram. 20–24pt boxboard for a window carton with a glued or crash-lock base; a rigid box on 2 mm grayboard for a gift set; E flute for a mailer. The base is what fails on a heavy flat box, and a tuck base is not enough.

Frequently asked questions

Got a question about tablecloth boxes? The answers below cover what we get asked most. If yours is not here, send it with a brief, message us on WhatsApp, or call +1 503-461-4788 — we reply the same working day.

How do I size a box for a tablecloth?

From the folded cloth. Send one folded the way you pack, we cut the box to that plus 5 mm, and the fold goes into the packing spec.

Can the fabric be seen and felt?

Seen through a window on a carton; felt with a belly band around a tissue-wrapped cloth.

Will a white cloth stay clean in the box?

Yes, with a sealed window, a tissue wrap and an unprinted interior.

Do you make gift boxes for linen sets?

Yes, a rigid lidded box on 2 mm grayboard with a ribbon, sized to the set.

Where does the cloth size go?

On the front in the largest type, in the units and naming of the market it sells in.

What is the minimum order?

100 boxes.

Can one box hold a cloth and napkins?

Yes, sized to the combined fold, with a platform under the block so it stays square.

Is the base strong enough?

A glued or crash-lock base carries a kilogram set. A tuck base does not, and we do not use one here.

Does it ship flat?

Cartons, bands and mailers do. Rigid boxes ship assembled.

Are care symbols required on the box?

In most markets, with the fiber content. The dieline reserves a panel on the back.

Can I add a fabric swatch?

Yes, a small window or a die-cut slot with a swatch fixed behind it.

Do you ship outside the US?

Yes, to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, quoted in the delivery currency.
