Order in fewer, larger drops

The per-unit freight cost falls steeply with volume on this route, far more than on a domestic US or UK delivery. A brand ordering quarterly usually lands stock cheaper than one ordering monthly, even after paying to store it.

APCO targets shape material choice

Australia's packaging covenant sets national targets for recyclability and recycled content, and brands of any size are increasingly asked to report against them by their retail customers rather than by a regulator.

In practice that means the same question as everywhere: is the box repulpable, and how much recycled fiber is in it. Both are answerable from the specification, and we put both on the quote when you ask.

If you supply into Australian grocery, ask your buyer which APCO figure they report on before you choose a finish. It is usually recyclability, not recycled content.

Arrival conditions, not just transit

Stock lands into a hot climate and often sits in an unconditioned warehouse. That rules out PLA linings for anything that will be filled with warm product later, and it makes gloss lamination more prone to blocking in a stack.

Neither is a problem if it is specified for. Both are a problem if the spec was written for a temperate market and shipped unchanged.
