London orders are small, frequent, and always slightly late
The pattern here is unmistakable: modest quantities, several times a year, usually needed sooner than is comfortable. Everything below is written around that rather than around a pallet order.

Send the size and quantity — we reply the same working day with a price, a dieline and a date. Artwork optional at this stage.
The Plastic Packaging Tax is a design decision
The UK charges a per-tonne levy on plastic packaging containing less than 30% recycled content. It catches laminated film and plastic windows more often than brands expect, and it applies to the component, not to the whole box.
For most London businesses the practical answer is to avoid film where the finish does not need it — an aqueous or water-based soft-touch coating sidesteps the question entirely and looks close enough that customers do not notice.
The tax is on the plastic component by weight. A small window on an otherwise paper box is rarely material; an all-over lamination on a large run can be.
Short runs, and how to keep them affordable
A hundred boxes is a normal London order and it is the quantity where fixed costs bite hardest. The way through is to spend on finish rather than on colors, and to reuse one die across variants. Our note on where the money goes on a short run sets out the four costs and which of them actually scale.
Food businesses have a second rulebook
Natasha's Law requires full ingredient and allergen labeling on food prepacked for direct sale, which for a lot of London delis and bakeries means label space they did not plan for. It is a labeling requirement rather than a packaging one, but it lands on the box.
Leave room on the dieline for a full ingredient panel from the start. Retrofitting one onto a finished design is the most common reprint in this market.
London questions
Do you deliver across London or only central?
Everywhere the courier does — inside the M25 and beyond. Address determines the last leg, not the borough.
Do you quote in GBP?
Yes, for every UK delivery.
Are your packs compliant for UK cosmetic sale?
We reserve the panel for the INCI list and the responsible-person address. What must appear is your regulator's call; laying it out is ours.
Can you handle small frequent reorders?
That is the London pattern. Once the die exists, a reorder of 100 goes straight to press.
How do I contact you from the UK?
Call or WhatsApp +1 503-461-4788, or send a brief through the site.
Is there a minimum order for London?
The same as everywhere — 100 units.
Do you supply the dieline before I commit?
Always, with the quote. It is yours whether or not you order.
Does the Plastic Packaging Tax apply to my boxes?
Only to plastic components — laminated film, windows, plastic-lined board — and only where recycled content is under 30%. A plain coated carton is outside it.
Can you deliver to a London address in a week?
It depends on the spec and whether artwork is ready. Send both with the enquiry and we will tell you honestly rather than optimistically.
Are prices in pounds?
Yes, quoted delivered and inclusive of duty and VAT, so the number on the quote is the number you pay.
