Folding without glue or tools

Corners are locked with tabs and slots; a crash-lock base snaps square with a squeeze. A packer folds one in under ten seconds with no glue and no tape. The blank is designed so the print faces out on every panel after folding, and the dieline shows the fold sequence.

Foldable Shoe Boxes in use, packed and ready to ship

Board and the stack

Our cardboard shoe boxes with a lift-off lid are the pre-folded two-piece version for stores that want boxes ready on the shelf.

  • E flute with a white or kraft liner — stiff enough for a stockroom stack, folds cleanly.
  • B flute for boots and heavy shoes.
  • Locked corners rather than glued, so the box can be flattened again for storage.
  • A lid that tucks or locks, so it does not lift in a stack.

Direct-to-consumer: the box is the mailer

A mailer-style shoe box in E flute, self-locking, printed inside and out, ships on its own to a customer. It saves an outer carton and a step at packing, and it opens at home as a branded box rather than a plain shipper with a box inside. It is built stiffer than a store box because it travels alone.

A shoe box that ships alone needs 15 mm of clearance around the shoes and a locked lid. Void fill in a shoe box is a sign it was sized wrong.

Foldable Shoe Boxes in an alternative colorway

Full color on a white liner or one color on kraft, with the brand on the lid and a blank or printed size panel on the end. Inside print on the lid for a direct box. The dies are kept per size, and the size run is usually two or three boxes.

Frequently asked questions

Got a question about foldable shoe boxes? The answers below cover what we get asked most. If yours is not here, send it with a brief, message us on WhatsApp, or call +1 503-461-4788 — we reply the same working day.

How fast does it fold?

Under ten seconds, with locked corners and no glue or tape.

Can it be flattened again?

Yes, with locked rather than glued corners, for storage or reuse.

Is it as strong as a pre-assembled box?

On E flute, yes for a stockroom stack. It is the same board; only the corner construction differs.

Can it ship to a customer on its own?

The mailer-style version can, self-locking and built stiffer, with 15 mm of clearance around the shoes.

What is the minimum order?

100 boxes.

One-piece or two-piece?

One-piece hinged is fastest and cheapest; a crash-lock tray with a lid stacks like a two-piece box in a store.

Can the inside be printed?

Yes, on the lid, which matters for a box opened at home.

How much space does it save?

About ten to one: a hundred flat blanks in the space of ten assembled boxes.

Do I need a box per shoe size?

No, two or three sizes across the run, set by the largest shoe in each band.

Can the end show the size?

Yes, a blank panel for a label or a printed size on larger runs.

Do you keep the die?

Yes, per size, so reorders skip the tooling.

Do you ship outside the US?

Yes, to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, quoted in the delivery currency.
