The three sizes on one rim

All three take the same 90 mm sip lid, which is the whole point. An 8 oz cup on an 80 mm rim needs its own lid and is a separate line.

12 oz (355 ml)The flat white and the small latte; height about 110 mm
16 oz (473 ml)The standard latte and Americano; about 135 mm
20 oz (591 ml)The large; about 160 mm

Single wall, double wall, or a sleeve

  • Single wall — cheapest; hot drinks need a sleeve; prints well.
  • Double wall — an air gap in a second layer; no sleeve needed; costs more and prints on the outer wall.
  • Ripple wall — an embossed outer layer; the most insulating; print is limited to the ripple face.
  • Single wall plus a printed sleeve — two print surfaces, and the sleeve can change seasonally.

Linings and what they mean for recycling

A paper cup is lined to hold liquid. PE lining is the standard and is recycled only where cup-specific collection exists. An aqueous (water-based) lining lets the cup be repulped in ordinary paper recycling in more places and composts more readily. PLA lining is plant-based and industrially compostable. The lining is a line on the quote, and it decides what can be printed on the cup about disposal. Our paper cups in every size and wall cover the smaller rims.

Close detail of the print finish on 90mm paper cups

A cup is printed flat as a curved blank and rolled, so straight lines curve and a centered logo appears once, facing the drinker or the street depending on how the cup is held. Flexo in up to six colors on the outer wall, full coverage or a mark. Keep critical artwork out of the seam and 10 mm below the rim where the lid sits. Food-safe inks throughout.

The proof is shown on the cup template with the seam and the rim marked. Approve it there, not on a flat rectangle.

Quantities for a café

Cups ship in sleeves of 50 in cases of 500 or 1,000. A hundred sleeves is a small café's month; a print run pays for its plates in a few thousand cups and reorders from the same file. Lids are quoted alongside, in the fitting 90 mm size.

Frequently asked questions

Got a question about 90mm paper cups? The answers below cover what we get asked most. If yours is not here, send it with a brief, message us on WhatsApp, or call +1 503-461-4788 — we reply the same working day.

Why 90 mm?

Because the 12, 16 and 20 oz cups on that rim share one lid, which simplifies stock and the counter. It is the coffee-shop standard.

Single or double wall?

Single wall with a sleeve is cheapest and gives two print surfaces. Double wall needs no sleeve and costs more per cup.

Are the cups recyclable?

PE-lined cups only where cup collection exists. An aqueous lining is repulpable in ordinary paper recycling in more places, and the quote states which lining the cup has.

Can I print full color?

Up to six flexo colors, full coverage or a mark, on the outer wall. Photographs are limited; logos, patterns and type print well.

What is the minimum order?

100 sleeves of 50 cups.

Do you supply lids?

Yes, 90 mm sip lids in black, white or clear, quoted with the cups.

Are the inks food safe?

Yes, throughout.

Can I have an 8 oz cup on the same lid?

No — 8 oz is an 80 mm rim with its own lid. It is a separate line.

Where should the logo go?

Out of the seam and 10 mm below the rim. The proof on the cup template shows both.

Can I have a compostable cup?

With a PLA or aqueous lining and compostable inks, yes, to the standard the quote names.

How are they packed?

In sleeves of 50, in cases of 500 or 1,000.

Do you ship outside the US?

Yes, to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, quoted in the delivery currency.
